Grading scheme

The Patten grading system includes exams, projects, and exercises (both the self-assessed and the evaluator-graded ones).  This allows students to earn credit for work during the course. Assessments (final and project) are worth 400 points each, three graded exercises are worth 40 points (120 points per course), and self-assessed exercises are worth 10 points total per unit (times 8 units = 80 points per course).

Together these total 1000 points.
